Volcano Kimchi, a producer of vegan and organic kimchi, and other Korean-inspired fermented delicacies, is located at the heart of San Francisco. Aruna Lee, a South Korean native, founded Volcano Kimchi in 2014, with a mission to offer the Bay Area community fresh and delicious fermented food options. Aruna’s strong belief in the healing potential of food for improved health and well-being, and her commitment to fostering connections within the community through shared meals, drives her enthusiasm. All demos take place in the Foodwise Classroom (under the tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
